Linda L. Stickler

SOUTH BEND - Linda L. Stickler, 72, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. After a lengthy illness, Linda is finally at peace home with the Lord.

She was born on December 6, 1942, to the late Orval and Virginia (Neighbors) Lung in Sturgis, MI, and had lived in South Bend, IN, since 1950, coming from Sturgis. Linda was retired from South Bend Water Works, where she worked as an Administrative Secretary for several years.

On January 16, 1960, as Linda L. Lung, she married Niles A. Stickler, Sr. in South Bend, IN. He passed away on April 15, 2007. Linda is survived by two daughters, Virginia Van-Bergen of Lawrenceville, GA, and Dorene Taelman of South Bend, IN; a son, Niles Stickler, Jr. of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Richardson of South Bend, IN; and two brothers, Billy Lung of California and Nicholas (Beverly) Lung of North Liberty, IN.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to: Arthritis Foundation.
