Donna Hope (Madick) Bloss

November 24, 1941 - September 11, 2014

SOUTH BEND - Our Mom was called home on September 11, 2014. Donna was born to Steve & Violet Madick on November 24, 1941. She was born and raised in South Bend. She was a loving Mother to Kelly (Tim) Rizzo and Del (Darcy) Bloss, and a sister to Steve (Helen) Madick. She adored her grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, Lauren and Drew. Although her stroke 14 years ago left her with physical limitations, she did her best to be as active as possible in our lives. She had 2 Nephews, Steven (who proceeded her in death) and Michael Madick and 2 Nieces, Sarah Madick and Christina Overbay, and Great-Nephews, Dominic and Kaiden and Great-Nieces Kadie, Rosalyn and Adrijana. Being with the kids was her greatest joy. Even though she wasn't able to physically do the things she wanted, her love for her grandchildren was central to who she was. Every visit or conversation ended with "kiss my kids."

She was a life long member of Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church in South Bend and found great comfort in her faith. She will be deeply missed, but because of her unconditional love and her warmth as a Mother, she will forever be in our hearts. We will miss our Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. We love you Mom.

Funeral Services will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, September 15, 2014 in Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a prayer service will be recited at 7:00pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Sts.
