Brenda Kay Morton Houk of South Bend, IN passed away at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Hospice House at the age of 70.  Brenda was born on October 6, 1942 in South Bend, IN to the late Revis and Edith (Wilson) Morton. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Catherine (Anthony) Toms of Edwardsburg, MI, Michael (Jennifer) Houk of Bremen, IN, and Susan (Dennis) Bettcher of Lakeville, IN; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Revis A. (Patricia) Morton of Abingdon, VA and longtime companion, Ron Carter of South Bend, IN.  Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby J. Morton.

She was a lifetime resident of South Bend, IN. Brenda graduated from Riley High School in 1960. In July of 2003, she retired from St. Joseph Regional Medical Center after fifteen years of service.  She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bowling, and watching MASH.

Private graveside services will take place at Highland Cemetery in South Bend. Services will be officiated by Pastor Steve Cox.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
