Betty Mae (Parker) Spears

Betty Mae (Parker) Spears, 75, a resident of Springfield for over fifty years, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Henning, TN a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Spivey) Parker and was raised and educated in Indiana.
Betty was employed as an Executive Secretary for over twenty years at Mass Mutual Insurance Company from which she retired. She was a devout member of the Indian Orchard Congregation at the Ludlow Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses’.
Betty was the former beloved wife of the late Willie L. Spears, Sr. who died in 1987 and leaves one loving son, Willie L. Spears, Jr. and his wife Nancy and their son Isaiah all of Springfield; her siblings, Dora Morrow, Ruth Mae Mincy, Esaw Parker and Alice Russell; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Her funeral will take place on Sunday, January 22nd at 5:00 PM at the Ludlow Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses’ 157 Fuller St., Ludlow. At her request there will be no calling hours.
