Mary Lou Pulley (Termont)

July 4, 1942 — Oct. 1, 2011 Mary Lou Termont, 69, of Crossville, passed away Oct. 1, 2011. Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 4, at First Presbyterian Church., with Pastor Michael Quillen officiating. Interment was held in Crossville City Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Termont was born July 4, 1942, in Savannah, TN, the daughter of Coy and Maysel Reed Pulley. She married her husband Don in January of 1961 while she was working at United Airlines in South Bend, IN. She later went back to college in the 1980s and received her degree in paralegal and sociology from the University of Kentucky. She retired from the State of Kentucky Law Department having worked in the Dept. of Law and Natural Resources Division. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg and a current member of First Presbyterian Church in Crossville. She was also the first woman member of the board of directors of the Lawrenceburg, KY Chamber of Commerce and was very involved in many state political functions there including the election of Governor Martha Lane Collins.
 
She and her husband retired to Crossville in 1996. She was a kind and generous lady who was loved and respected by many. Survivors include her husband, Don of Crossville; mother, Maysel Baker of Savannah, TN; son, David Termont of Crossville; sister, Sue Martin of South Bend, IN; and six nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Termont.
 
Pallbearers were Jerry Scherer, Logan Wernz, Jim Rose, Bill Hagedorn, Cliff Gillett and Charlie Bunnell. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services for U.S. Air Force Capt. Brian E. Termont, 34, of Colorado Springs and Vail, Co., who passed away Jan. 21 in Crossville, were conducted Jan. 27 from the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel with interment at the Air Force Academy Cemetery. Chaplain Captain Paul L. Cannon officiated.
 
Captain Termont was born March 8, 1962 in South Bend, Ind. He was a licensed professional engineer who worked as a civil engineering guardsman with the Colorado Air National Guard at Buckley Air National Guard Base. He earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Air Force Academy in 1984. He had earned the Meritorious Service Medal, the Outstanding Unit Award with two oak-leaf clusters and the Combat Readiness Medal. He also had served in Desert Storm and had worked at NORAD and CTA Inc. He was a skilled woodworker and member of the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates.
 
Survivors include his parents, Donald and Mary Lou (Pulley) Termont of Crossville; brother, David M. of Indianapolis and maternal grandparents, Maysel Baker of Savannah, Tenn. and Coy E. Pulley of Waynesboro, Tenn. Memorial contributions may be made to Cumberland Regional Cancer Center, 811 South Main St., Crossville, TN 38555. Shrine Remembrance of Colorado Springs was in charge of the arrangements.
