Mary Lou Pulley (Termont)

July 4, 1942 — Oct. 1, 2011 Mary Lou Termont, 69, of Crossville, passed away Oct. 1, 2011. Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 4, at First Presbyterian Church., with Pastor Michael Quillen officiating. Interment was held in Crossville City Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Termont was born July 4, 1942, in Savannah, TN, the daughter of Coy and Maysel Reed Pulley. She married her husband Don in January of 1961 while she was working at United Airlines in South Bend, IN. She later went back to college in the 1980s and received her degree in paralegal and sociology from the University of Kentucky. She retired from the State of Kentucky Law Department having worked in the Dept. of Law and Natural Resources Division. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg and a current member of First Presbyterian Church in Crossville. She was also the first woman member of the board of directors of the Lawrenceburg, KY Chamber of Commerce and was very involved in many state political functions there including the election of Governor Martha Lane Collins.
 
She and her husband retired to Crossville in 1996. She was a kind and generous lady who was loved and respected by many. Survivors include her husband, Don of Crossville; mother, Maysel Baker of Savannah, TN; son, David Termont of Crossville; sister, Sue Martin of South Bend, IN; and six nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Termont.
 
Pallbearers were Jerry Scherer, Logan Wernz, Jim Rose, Bill Hagedorn, Cliff Gillett and Charlie Bunnell. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
