Judith Ann (Satterlee) Huckins

September 21, 1942    ~    July 8, 2026

Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Judy carried her Midwestern roots with her throughout her life. Later, she followed her daughter to Phoenix, Arizona, happily trading snow and ice for sunshine and warmer days.

Judy was married twice during her lifetime but ultimately discovered that she didn't need a man to define her happiness or her strength. She built a life on her own terms, guided by independence, perseverance, and a generous heart.

She was the proud mother of three children, Tim, Trish and Kristi, but her greatest joy was found in her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and nothing brought her more happiness than watching them grow. The arrival of her great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy and added a new chapter of love to her life. She cherished every moment she was blessed to spend with them and was especially grateful for the precious time she shared with her great-grandson, Oliver. Her love for her family was unwavering.

Those who knew Judy understood that while she could sometimes seem tough on the outside, beneath that exterior was a woman who was always thinking of others. She had a servant's heart and spent many years giving back to the communities where she lived. Whether advocating for children, driving elderly and disabled neighbors to appointments, or quietly finding ways to help someone in need, Judith believed that acts of kindness made a difference.

Before her own passing, Judy experienced the profound heartbreak of losing her daughter, Trish, a loss she carried with quiet strength and enduring love. Though their time together on earth was cut short, the bond they shared was never broken. She found comfort in believing that love transcends time and distance, and that the connections we forge with those we cherish continue beyond this life.

She will be remembered for her fierce independence, her willingness to stand up for what she believed in, her devotion to her family, and the countless lives she touched through her generosity and service.
