SOUTH BEND - Jerry D. St. Germain, 66, of South Bend, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 25th in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. St. Germain was born on August 14, 1942, in South Bend and resided in the Michigan area, his lifetime.
 
On December 14, 1963, in South Bend, he married the former, Judith L. Baker who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Angel R. (Allen) Kildow of North Liberty, IN; and two sons, Scott D. (Susan) St. Germain and Cody M. St. Germain, both of South Bend. Also seven grandchildren whom he loved and cherished; Krystal St. Germain, Scott (Krystal Lynn) St. Germain, Hope, Angela, Robert, Monica and Jacob Kildow. Also the new angel, Brayden St. Germain the great-grandchild. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Russell L. and Stella (Janowiak) St. Germain and by a brother; Ronald L. St. Germain in 1967 who was a South Bend Police Officer. Mr. St. Germain was a former employee of the Kroger Grocery Chain as a Produce Manager and then purchased his own franchise with Pepperidge Farms which he was operating prior to his illness.
 
Jerry was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who always place his family first. He was always the first to help family members and most of all cherished his grandchildren. He was a total family man. He was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers Fan and the Minnesota Vikings. He was also a good and honorable businessman, always striving to be the best.
 
He was a 1960 graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School.
 
Mr. St. Germain's wishes were to be cremated which his loving family honored. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday March 22 in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road and Indiana 23, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service time on Sunday. The family request NO FLOWERS and please make all memorial contributions to, The Villages Foster Care Agency, 3132 Old US #20 West, Elkhart, IN 46514. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extend its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the St. Germain Family.

Lawrence Bernard St Germain (1960)

Jerry and I were very close in High School and for many years after school. I miss you and pray for your soul. Rest in Peace Jerry. Until we meet again.
