SOUTH BEND - Charles L. Tatay, 69, of Ft. Worth, TX, formerly of South Bend, passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 in Ft. Worth. He had complications from surgery that left his heart and lungs both weakened. He spent five months in the hospital putting up a brave fight to get well.

Chuck was born on Nov. 5, 1940, in South Bend to William and Pauline Tatay. He spent most of his life in Texas. Chuck was president and owner of O.E.M, Inc. and Tatay, Inc. He loved fishing and traveling. He was an avid art collector and brought back many things from his travels around the world. He was a loving, generous and kind husband, father and grandfather He will be missed greatly by his friends and family. Mr. Tatay is survived by his loving relatives including: his wife of 42 years, Carol Tatay; his daughters, Mary Tatay Hohman and Coco Tatay (Bill) Bland and grandsons: Tre Hohman, Billy and Charlie Bland, and eight brothers and sisters.

A celebration of Chuck's life and time for sharing will be held on Friday, Oct. 22 at 2 pm at McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd., Granger, where there will be a reception with the family immediately following.
