NORTH LIBERTY - Dennis Owen Lambert, Sr., residing in North Liberty, Indiana, passed at his home on Saturday, May 19, 2018, surrounded by his family. Dennis was born on April 30, 1945 in South Bend to Kenneth and Margaret (Thoma) Lambert. He was employed by Newman and Altman where he was a parts salesman from 1964-1999, because of his love of Studebaker. He was the owner of Studebaker Auto Parts from 1999-2009. Dennis knew no stranger and if you drove a Studebaker, he would find you any part you needed or what he thought you needed.

November 24, 1999 in South Bend, Dennis was united in marriage to Denise Borton.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Denise Lambert of North Liberty; his children, Tam (Kevin) Fox of Wisconsin, Kim (Teresa) Lambert of Indianapolis, IN, Brittany (Ryan Paschen) Betz of Walkerton, IN, Chelsea (Maggie Bartley) Betz of Hoopeston, IL, Dennis Lambert, Jr. of Elkhart, IN, Benjamin Lambert of North Liberty, IN, and Travis (Alyssa Stevens) Betz of South Bend, IN; his grandchildren, Chaz (Jen) Huguenard, Flannery Bell, Theo Bell, and Autumn Price; and great-grandsons, Cody and Cameron. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Kaser of North Liberty; his uncle, John Thoma of Elkhart, IN; sister-in-law, Millie Lambert of Byron Center, MI, and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret Lambert; his brother, Barry Lambert; and his daughter-in-law, Joanne Lambert.

In his memory, please drive your Studebaker to the visitation or service. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Palmer Funeral Home, 202 North Main Street, North Liberty, IN. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Porter Rae Cemetery in North Liberty.
