Jerry L. Brownbridge

May 12, 1933 ~ November 12, 2014 (age 81)

Jerry L. Brownbridge, 81, of Osceola, IN passed away at  2:06 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born on May 12, 1933 in South Bend, IN to the late Le Roy and Hilda (Bitner)  Brownbridge. He was united in marriage on September 20, 1953 in South Bend, IN to the former Anna L. Shadel.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Anna L. Brownbridge; four children, David (Janet) Brownbridge, Greg (Sue) Brownbridge, Debbie (Charlie) McIlroy and Michael (Elizabeth) Brownbridge all of Mishawaka, IN; twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eileen J. Williamson and two brothers, Gordon and Donald Brownbridge.

Jerry was a lifelong resident.  He graduated from Riley High School, the class of 1953.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army  Air Force. Jerry retired from Nibco Corporation in Elkhart after thirty-nine and a half years of service.  He loved to play the organ and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
