Joan (Jewell) Marhee

Mrs. Joan Jewel Marhee, 45, of Miami, a former South Bend resident, died in Florida on July 28. Mrs. Marhee, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Everett A. Jewell, 113 E. Tasher, graduated from Riley High School in 1953 and attended Indiana University at South Bend. She was born on September 10, 1935, in Muncie and came to South Bend in 1946. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Gerald J. Marhee, and two sons, Steven T. and Michael J., all of Miami; two brothers, Thomas M. of Indianapolis and James W. Jewell of Spring Lake, N.J. Services were held in Miami on July 30 and burial was in Miami

         Mrs. Marhee had been a teacher at the Miami Springs Junior High School for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was graduated from Florida International University of Miami at Coral Gables and Nova University, Miami. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Heart Association or to the Grace United Methodist Church Youth Fund, South Bend.
