SOUTH BEND - Richard “Rick” “Guz” V. Guzicki, 52 years old, passed away at 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Rick was born on October 17, 1963 in South Bend to the late Richard Joseph and Lola Vivian (Forkner) Guzicki. He has remained a lifelong area resident. On October 10, 1992 in South Bend, Rick and Debra A. Rader were united in marriage.

Along with his loving wife, Debbie, Rick is survived by his two daughters, Erin E. Guzicki and Kristin A. Guzicki, both at home; mother-in-law, Mary Rader of Osceola; and brother-in-law, Dale (Cathy) Rader of Elkhart. Rick is also survived by his cousins, nieces, nephews, and many longtime friends who loved him very much. Along with his parents, Rick was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carlton L. Rader. Rick was a devoted husband and father, always encouraging his daughters in their endeavors. His endless love for his wife, Debbie, was evident.

Rick held ownership in Cass Hudson Company in Elkhart where he was an incredible sales representative since 1988. He was an innovative leader specializing in the RV industry. Rick was a 1982 graduate of Riley High School and a member of St. Matthew Cathedral.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St., South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend and one hour prior to services in the church on Thursday.
