IRVING, TX - David Lee Young, 79, formerly of South Bend, IN passed away at 1:05am Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Irving, TX. He was born on March 5, 1937 in South Bend, IN to the late Harry and Frances Young.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joan R. Roenfeldt and brother Jack B. Young. Survivors include Kimberly, Rachel, and Lindsey Paholski.

David was a graduate of Riley High School. He retired in 1992 from Potawatomi Zoo after twenty-seven years of service. David proudly served his country with the United States Army.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2 at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
