Joseph Duane Budney

August 14, 1939     ~     January 20, 1987

Word has been received that Joseph Duane Budney, 47, of Chicago, formerly of South Bend, died January 20 after suffering an apparent heart attack on his way home from work.  Mr. Budney was co-owner of ASAP Fabrication, Cicero, IL. He was born August 14, 1939. His wife, the former Sheila Witte of Chicago, survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nicole, at home; a son, Daniel, at home; a sister, Jeanette Zernick of Horton, MI; a brother, Robert of South Bend; his mother, Matilda Budney of Dowagiac; and foster father, Vince Sobczyk of South Bend.

Services were Friday in St. Irene Church, Warrenville, IL. Burial was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, Naperville, IL, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Budney was a graduate of Riley High School and Eastern Oklahoma College.
