Jerry L. Rider-Tirrell

Jerry L. Rider-Tirrell, 69, of Mishawaka, IN passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 in his home. He was born February 4, 1939 in Rochester, IN and has lived in South Bend for the last eight years.

Mr. Rider-Tirrell is survived by a son, Jeffrey Tirrell of South Bend, IN; father, Herbert Tirrell of South Bend, IN; sister, Nancy Crossley of Morris Plains, New Jersey and brother, Spencer Tirrell of South Bend. His mother, Ina (Spurlock) Tirrell preceded him in death.

Mr. Rider-Tirrell was a graduate of Riley High School class of 1957. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Rider-Tirrell currently worked part time as a cab driver for City Wide Cab Company. He was formerly employed as an electrical engineer before retirement. Mr. Rider-Tirrell regularly played scrabble and chess at Barnes & Nobles and Borders.
