Mark Geyer Carleton

Mark Geyer Carleton, 18, of 1112 E. Eckman St., died Saturday ag 4:40 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital, after suffering a heart attack while playing basketball at the South Bend Y.M.C.A. Born August 31, 1952 in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Carleton of South Bend; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Guy A. Carleton of Aberdeen S.D, two brothers, William A. Jr., a student at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and Eric A., at home, and an aunt, Mrs. John H. Winant of Williamstown, Mass. Services were to be conducted at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Daniel W. Fowler, D.D., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty, Ind. Mr. Carleton was a freshman at Holy Cross Junior College and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Graduating from Riley High School in 1970, he was the secretary of his senior class. Memorial contributions may be made to Y.M.C.A. Camp Eberhart or the St. Joseph County Heart Fund.
