Linda S. (Kelly) Rudlaff
March 25, 1952 – Jan. 7, 2004
Linda S.Rudlaff, a.k.a, “Bubbles”residing on Mayapple Trail, Osceola passed away Friday afternoon, January 7, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 25, 1952 in South Bend and remained a lifelong resident.
Linda graduated from Riley High School and attended Ball State University and Indiana University, where she obtained her masters degree in education. She was a teacher at the Nunor Primary Center in South Bend and had taught in other schools within the South Bend School Corporation. Linda also was the owner of Wandering Shoes Photography.
Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Joseph Rudlaff of Osceola; daughter, Amy (Rudlaff) Hardesty; son-in-law, Ron;and grandson, Samuel of Indianapolis;son, Adam Rudlaff of Mishawaka; mother, Emma Kelly of South Bend, brother, Michael of Troy, Mich.; sister, Debra Kelly of Buchanan, MI;brother, Patrick of South Bend;nieces and nephews, a large extended family in the area, and very special friend, Jean Whetstone of Mishawaka.
Her father, Jack Kelly, preceded her in death in 1994.
Linda was a member of the NEA and ISTA and was devoted to her career as a teacher and educator.She also participated in the Teachers as Scholars Program at the University of Notre Dame. Teaching was her first great passion, having decided at an early age that this was the only career she wanted to pursue and she leaves a legacy of knowledge to the hundreds of students who passed through her classroom throughout the years.
