Carol L. (Maxwell) Feltman

SOUTH BEND - Carol Lynn Feltman, 57, a lifelong resident of South Bend, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009, in Evanston, IL, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born February 12, 1952, in South Bend, to Noel and Helen (Miller) Maxwell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Noel "Bill" Maxwell, who was also a resident of South Bend.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Shaun) Raad of Chicago, IL; sister, Judith (William) Bergen of Belleville, IL; a niece, Kara (Scott) Stegman of Castle Rock, CO; nephews, Matthew (Helga) Bergen of Long Beach, CA, Kristopher Bergen of St. Louis, MO; stepdaughter, Lori (Scott) Risser of Granger, IN, and stepson, Nathan (Jo-Ann) Feltman of Carmel, IN.
Carol was a devoted mother, loving sister, and friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and cheering on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish team. Carol graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend, later worked as a realtor with Smith-Zeisz Real Estate, and was a teacher's aide with the Montessori School.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8th, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Entombment will be at Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Tuesday in the funeral home.
