SOUTH BEND - Donald L. Fox, 74, residing in South Bend, IN, passed away at 8:38 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Donald was born on May 20, 1938 in South Bend to the late Forest V. Sr. and Kathryn M. (Van Scoyk) Fox, and has remained a lifelong resident.

Donald graduated from Riley High School in 1956.

He worked as a Senior Clerk for 35 years at the former I&M Electric Company. Donald attended Southside Christian Church, South Bend. He had a vast knowledge of Hollywood movie stars, enjoyed shopping at Goodwill for his great-nieces, and was known to be a very generous person. Donald L.

Fox was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Kathryn Fox, Sr.; brothers, Harold Wilkinson, Sr. (1997) and Forest "Buster" Fox, Jr. (2012); nephew, Richard "Pug" Trowbridge; and brother-in-law, Frank S. LaCrone.

He is survived by his sisters, Betty A. (Ray) Trowbridge Hawn of South Bend, Carole A. "Judy" LaCrone of Elkhart, and Kathy D. (Larry) Barber of Edwardsburg, MI; nieces and nephews, Harold Wilkinson, Jr., Kay Horvath, Robert "Mug" Trowbridge, Andrea Solomon, Valerie Spry, Carrie LaCrone, Ellen Gilbert, James Hamilton, and their families; many cousins, including Sue, Darlene, and Marilyn, plus many loving friends.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Donald's neighbors, Don and Melanie Earl, Alliance Medical Transport, the staff at Memorial Hospital, and to his wonderful friends at Southside Christian Church, for all of your care and compassion.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. Rev. Eric Brotheridge of Southside Christian Church will officiate. Graveside services will take place at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
