Carolyn S. (Brown) Price

EDWARDSBURG - Carolyn Sue Price, 70, formerly of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest Sept. 24, 2010 at Jordan's Life Care Center, Bridgman, MI, after an illness. Carolyn was born May 27, 1940, in South Bend, IN, the daughter of Nelson and Dorothy (Chidister) Brown and has lived most of her life in the Michiana area.

She was married Nov. 19, 1950 as Carolyn Brown to Cloyd G. Price, who passed April 20, 1995. Other family who have passed, are her parents and two brothers, Edward Brown and Charles Brown.

Surviving are her children, Allen Price of South Bend, Suellen (Eric) Blevins of Niles and Brenda Price of Niles. There are four loving grandchildren, Greg Price, Jennifer (Matt) Rentfrow, Kathleen Price and Adam Price. She has one dear great-grandson, Brock Rentfrow.

Carolyn was a graduate of Riley High School, South Bend.

She worked for 1st Source Bank of South Bend, as a data entry processor. She was a member of the 1st Church of Christ, Niles, and the Edwardsburg American Legion Auxiliary. Services of remembrance will be Wednesday at 1 p.m., Sept. 29, 2010 in the Edwardsburg Hope United Methodist Church.

Friends and family may gather on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Reese, pastor. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. Carolyn enjoyed bingo, cooking, country music, traveling and mostly spending time with her family. Arrangements are by Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg, MI.
