Barbara J. (Stiffler) Wolf

SOUTH BEND - Barbara J. Wolf, 68, of Lafayette, IN, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 2, 2009, in her residence. She had lived in Lafayette since 2003, coming from South Bend. She was born July 11, 1940, in Toledo, OH, to the late William and Vera Hamilton Stiffler.

She graduated from Riley High School in South Bend.

She was a member of The Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she worked as a secretary for five years. She was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Bend. While there she volunteered with both Hospice and the Sexual Offense Survivors group. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Kari L. Goerling, husband, Phillip of Dayton, OH, William C. Wolf, Clarksville, TN, James M. Wolf, Lafayette, IN, Eric A. Wolf, wife, Amy of Indianapolis, Christopher R. Wolf, wife, Lori of Indianapolis; a brother, Robert Stiffler (wife, Delores) of North Liberty; and a sister, Marsha Warsaw (husband, John) of Bristol, IN. Also surviving her are 10 grandchildren.

The memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, IN. Fr. James Brache will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Catholic Archdiocese of South Bend-Fort Wayne. Leave condolences at www.soller-baker.com.
