SOUTH BEND - Mr. Ronald Joseph Taylor, who resided on Portage Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, passed from this life at the age of 60 on Sunday, March 19, 2017, 6:15 p.m., in his residence.
Ronald's life began on April 6, 1956, when he was born to Joseph Thomas and Viola Taylor. He graduated from Riley High School in 1974 and served in the United States Army from 1979 until 1983 when he was honorably discharged. For ten years he was employed by Wells Electronic as a mechanic.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memory his life-time companion of 35 years, Kimberly Hesiben; daughters, Theresa Taylor-Evans of Dallas, Texas, Conswela Taylor, Vanessa Willis, Jan Willis, Derria Willis and Lori Willis, all of South Bend, Indiana; sons, Ronald Joseph Taylor Jr., and Demond Hesiben, both of South Bend, and Romean Cavitt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 35 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; his parents, Joseph and Viola Taylor; sisters, Sharon (Paul) Hawkins, and Berneda (John) Bond; brothers, Raymond Taylor, Joseph (Karin) Taylor Jr., Sammuel Taylor, Vernon Taylor, Kenneth (Annette) Taylor, and Larinzo (Timika) Wright, all of South Bend, Indiana; a cousin, Jessie Watson of New York; and two special friends, Wesley Goodwin and Gregory (Sleepy) Johnson, both of South Bend, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jessie and Lilly Lottie; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Daisy Taylor; a special cousin, George (Danky) Bailey; and a nephew, DeKari Anderson.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 12 noon Monday, March 27, 2017, at Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC, with Pastor Graylin Watson officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour before the services.
