MISHAWAKA - Arleatha Gilmore, 54, of Mishawaka, IN passed away May 3, 2017 at her residence.

Arleatha was born September 3, 1962 in South Bend, IN, to William and Lenora (White) Lee. She graduated from Riley High School and worked several hotels & nursing homes in housekeeping. Her passion was music. She married Chester C. Gilmore, Jr., on July 3, 1977 in South Bend, IN.

Arleatha was preceded in death by her parents, William & Lenora Lee, her biological mother, Erma Fultz, one son, Chester C. Gilmore, III, a sister, Shauntae Harris, a brother, Jason Stewart and a sister-in-law, Deborah Lynn Williams.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include three sons, Kinyon (Lisa Meservey) Lee, Christopher Lamont (Cynthia Turner) Gilmore and Jordan Devon (Chanze Smith) Gilmore all of South Bend, IN, a stepdaughter, Dicel Nicole Sherric Lynn Ith-Gilmore of Danbury, CT, 11 grandchildren, four sisters, Kimberly Harris and Adale Harris both of Atlanta, GA, Denise Fultz of Goshen, IN and Nancy Ivory of South Bend, IN; two brothers, Lester (Cindy) Martin, Jr., of Mishawaka, IN and Joseph Harris of South Bend, IN, along with her mother-in-law, Effie Rogers, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Alford's Mortuary with viewing occurring from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
