GRANGER - Spring Mary Zmudzinski, 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at her residence in Granger, IN. She was born on April 21, 1956 in South Bend, IN, to Stanley and Mary (Orsulak) Dzialakiewicz, both of whom preceded her in death.

On May 20, 1989 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in South Bend, Spring married Donald R. Zmudzinski, who survives. She is also survived by sons, Christopher Paul Zmudzinski and John Christian Zmudzinski, both of Granger; brother, Kevin (Becky) Dzialakiewicz of South Bend; niece, Cherese Krueper; and nephew, Brandon Dzialakiewicz.

Spring graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law. She was employed at Weisman & Associates in Mishawaka, IN for over 40 years starting as a secretary while in high school. She then became a paralegal and worked the last 28 years as an attorney. She attended St. Pius X Church in Granger.

Spring enjoyed travelling with her family, especially anyplace warm. She went to the Indianapolis 500 every year and enjoyed watching NASCAR, NFL, and Notre Dame football and basketball. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to music from Motown to Disco to New Wave and anything by the Rolling Stones.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Pius X Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. Father Eric Burgener will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00pm, with prayer vigil and rosary recitation at 4:00pm, on Wednesday, October 18 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Friends may also visit with the family from 10:00-10:30am on Thursday at the church prior to Mass.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Spring may be donated to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th floor, New York, New York 10022, or Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
