Dorothy V. Turnock Aug. 18, 1917 - Feb. 11, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Dorothy V. Turnock, 97, of South Bend, IN passed away at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home. She was born on August 18, 1917 in South Bend, IN to the late Homer Milton and Kathryn "Ruth" (Martindale) Vincent.
On May 25, 1940 in South Bend, IN she was united in marriage to Edwin "Bud" Turnock Jr. who preceded her in death on October 21, 1976.
Mrs. Turnock is survived by five sons, Doug (Diane Kovach) Turnock of South Bend, IN, Michael Turnock of Denver, CO, Thomas Turnock of North Liberty, IN, Ted (Teri) Turnock of South Bend, IN and Jeff (Kay) Turnock of South Bend, IN; nine grandchildren, Patrick (Trish) Turnock, Kevin (Susan) Turnock, Josh Kendall, Adrienne Turnock, Christian Turnock, Christi (Todd) Chmiel, Daniel (Tina) Turnock, Phil Turnock and Kerri Turnock; eight great grandchildren, Corrine, Sarah, Kasey, Matthew, Aaron, Calleigh, Maggie and Kelsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Albert E. Vincent and Russell "Dean" Vincent and his wife, Evelyn.
Mrs. Turnock was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Riley High School. She worked at 1st Discount Bank and retired in 1983 as a secretary for Local #172, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union after sixteen and half years. She was a member of the former Ridgedale Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and playing bridge.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family.
