Virgil A. Hein
Virgil A. Hein Nov. 26, 1923 - Aug. 10, 1997 Virgil A. Hein, 73, of Whitcomb Street, South Bend, Ind., died after an illness at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, in his residence. Virgil was born in South Bend on Nov. 28, 1923, and was a lifelong area resident. In 1983, after 35 years of service, Virgil retired from the Northern Indiana Public Service Company. He was a World War I| Army veteran.
On March 20, 1948, in South Bend, Virgil A. married Eleanor L. Wallace, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Eric A. Hein and Paul A. Hein, both of South Bend; two sisters, Marcella Courter of Palmetto, Fla., and Luella "Lou" Johnsen of South Bend. Virgil was preceded in death by a sister, Waneta Walters in 1993.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends call from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Entombment will be in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County
