Mrs. Joan Elaine Kincaid, 95, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Caretel Inn Assisted Living in St. Joseph, MI. Joan was born on June 30, 1925 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Lewis A. and Erma V. (Marker) Keiser.

Joan was a life-long resident of the area, residing in River Park for 62 years. On January 1, 1946, Joan was united in marriage to Richard K. Kincaid, who preceded her in death on November 15, 2016. She was faithfully employed at Cole Assoc. (now DLZ Corp) as a draftsman for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Joan was also a long-time precinct Republican committee person and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Joan is survived by three sons: Jeffery A. Kincaid of Osceola, IN, Robert A. (Jill) Kincaid of Edwardsburg, MI and James A. (Cindy) Kincaid of St. Joseph, MI; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Smith of Cary, IL; sister in-law Gwen Stines Granger, In as well as a host of extended family members and friends. 

In addition to her husband of 70 years, Richard Kincaid, and her parents, Lewis and Erma Keiser, Joan was preceded in death by two siblings: sister Georgie Jaeger Lutz and brother Allen Keiser. 

Services for Mrs. Joan Elaine Kincaid will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Homes – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Friends may call on the family for visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
