LAKEVILLE, IN - Dale E. Stoner, 90, of Lakeville, IN passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 in his home. He was born on December 14, 1927 in South Bend, IN to the late Joseph A. and Eudora (Coffeen) Stoner, and has remained a lifelong resident of this community. On April 9, 1950 in South Bend, IN, he was united in marriage to Dorothy A. (Drapek) Stoner, who survives. They have enjoyed 68 years of marriage.

Mr. Stoner is also survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Andert of South Bend, IN and Pamela (Janice Bergamini) Stoner of Three Oaks, MI; two sons, Randy (Cindi) Stoner of Mishawaka, IN and Rick D. (Beth) Stoner of Lakeville, IN; eleven grandchildren, Kristy (Robert) Nix, Rick (Karen) Stoner, Kelly M. (Shad) Robakowski, Kyle Stoner, Jennifer (Mike Young) Andert, Jessica (Blake) Nickle, Julia (Max) McCloskey, Nicky Merrill, Justin Merrill, Jamie Merrill, and Natasha Stoner; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Sharon Harper, Louise Drapek, and Sharon Stoner. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews, and special friends who are like family, Sarah & Bob Conner and their children, Elizabeth & Bobby, and Elaine Stoner and Tom & Jodi Bogunia. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Easterday, Joann Overmeyer, Rowena Stoner, and Reatha Newman; and four brothers, Leland Stoner, Lyle “Bob” Stoner, Joe Stoner, and Gene Stoner.

Mr. Stoner was a graduate of Riley High School. He was part owner and operator of Stoner's Restaurant and Grocery Store. He also was a farmer. Mr. Stoner was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, St. Joseph County Soil & Water Conservation District, and Farm Bureau.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, Aug. 10, at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 North Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
