Dale Allen Dyer

Dale Allen Dyer, 77, passed away at 9:40pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Dale was born on April 3, 1944, in South Bend to the late Lester Adolf and Esther (Andrews) Dyer. Dale was also preceded in death by sisters, Iota Koelz and Sandra Thompson; and brother, Paul Dyer.

On March 25, 1979, Dale married Karen (Rahn) in Mishawaka. She survives along with daughter, Susan (John) Van Dusen; sons, Brett, James, Chad (Jenn); grandchildren, Haley and Maudrey Van Dusen, and Alyssa Dyer; and sisters, Diane (Jim) Berger and Melanie (Chris) Radican.

Dale worked as a Mechanic for Preston Corporation for 25 years before retiring in 1999. He and Karen attended South Side Church of God and New Beginnings Community Fellowship. He was a member of Riddle’s Lake Conservation Club. Dale has also been a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club and Avanti Owners Association since 1986.

Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021, in Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN 46614. Funeral Services will be at 12 noon on Monday, September 13, 2021, in the Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
