Howard I. "Pete" Strombeck

Howard I. (Pete) Strombeck, 55, Birmingham, Mich., formerly of South Bend, died Wednesday. in the Ford Hospital, Detroit,: Mich. of a heart ailment. He was vice-president of Associates Investment Co., Detroit region,. and had served the company for 27 years. He was born June 20, 1914, in Joliet, IL.

His widow, Rosa Lee survives, along with his mother Mrs. Ella Strombeck, 793 E. Oakside St.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Hickey Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 p.m. Monday, with Dr. C. Ernest Thomas, pastor of the First United Methodist Church. Birmingham, MI., Rev. Walter Oberholtzer pastor of the Hoy Trinity Lutheran Church and Rev.: C. Marcus Engdahl, pastor of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church,, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

He was a graduate of Riley High School and attended Northwestern University, Evanston, HI. He was a veteran of World War II. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund.
