SOUTH BEND - Services for Garold R. Mikel, 80, of Fellows Street, who died Wednesday at Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Emmaus Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Mikel retired in 1980 from Bendix Corp.'s Aviation Division after 42 years of service as a test equipment design engineer. He was born Jan. 12, 1916, in South Bend. On April 23, 1933, in South Bend, he married Charlotte L. Steele. She survives with two daughters, Carol S. Granat of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Linda L. Kubala of Stamping Ground, Ky.; a son, Donald D. of Brimley, Mich.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fern Lattimer of Wasilla, Alaska. He was a member of National Rifle Association, Mishawaka Rifle and Pistol Team, and Bendix Retirees Club.
