Bernice (Janofsky) Boorda

Bernice (Janofsky) Boorda, 62, of Chicago, formerly of South Bend, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon in Chicago. She was born on April 20; 1920, in South Bend and lived here until 1940 when she moved to Chicago.

On Dec. 1, 1940, in South Bend, she married Abe Boorda. He survives with two daughters, Mrs. Michelle Bachrach of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Mrs. Carol Strauss of Palatine, IL.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Gertrude Janofsky of Mishawaka.

Services will be Monday in The Piser Funeral Home, 6130 IN_ California, Chicago. Memorial contributions may be made to a chanty of the donor's choice.
