George Steven Kovatch

George Steven Kovatch, 74, Lady Lake. Fla.. formerly of Indianapolis, died June 20. Before retiring, he was a science and math teacher 24 years for Cathedral High School. retiring in 1988.

He also had been a teacher and football, baseball and basketball coach five years for Ritter High School. Prior to that, he worked for Liberian Rubber Plantations.

Mr. Kovatch received a bachelor's degree from Purdue University and a Master's from the University of Notre Dame. He was an Army veteran of World War Il.

Services: 8:30 a.m. June 23 in St. Timothy Catholic Church. Lady Lake. Calling: 6 to 8 p.m. June 22 in Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake. Burial: Florida Na-tional Cemetery, Bushnell. Fla.

Survivors: wife M. Louise O'Donnell Kovatch: brothers Ernest. John Kovatch: sister Vera Eastbum.
