Richard D. Maxwell

SOUTH BEND - Richard D. Maxwell (Dick), age 86, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Kettering Medical Center. He was employed by the L.M. Berry Company for 21 years in ad sales, sales management and sales training.

He was a 1944 graduate of Riley High School in South Bend, IN.

He was born in Ft. Atkinson, WI, on February 4, 1926. Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ramona (Kline); and his eight children, Rosalie Maxwell (Dr. David Hanpeter) of Los Angeles, CA, David Maxwell (Debbie) of Niles, MI, Laurene Maxwell (Victor Padilla) of Denver, CO, Karen Reiber (Tom) of Fairborn, OH, Richard Maxwell (Debbie) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Greg Maxwell of Dayton, OH, Mary Maxwell (John Larson) of Orlando, FL, and Robert Maxwell (Shirley) of Kenilworth, NJ. He is also survived by his cousin, John Maxwell of Seymore, TN; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Esmond and Inez Mae (Carpenter).

In keeping with Richard's wishes, no services were held and his body was donated to the Medical School at Wright State University. A remembrance is scheduled for the family next summer.
