Martha Mary (Tabaczynski) Grover
April 10, 1922 — January 8, 2024
Martha Mary Grover, 101 years old of Milton Township, Niles, passed to her rest Jan. 8, 2024 at The Timbers of Cass County , Dowagiac, after an illness. She was born April 10, 1922 in South Bend, the daughter of Felix and Stella (Lyczynski) Tabaczynski and has lived in the Michiana area all of her life. Her career centered around Nursing, having been with St. Joseph Medical Center, Ball-Band and the Standard Oil Company.
Martha was married March 24, 1945 in Goshen to Arlie L.Grover and he passed June 23, 1995. Surviving is a son, Larry Walter (Cindy) Grover of Niles, two grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey (Kelsi) Grover and Mari Grover. Family who preceded her in passing are her parents, her beloved husband, Arlie and her siblings, Felicia Everett, Angela Snyder, Carolyn Gillespie and Edwin Tabaczynski.
Martha loved to cook and bake. She was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and her chocolate fudge. She canned everything that she could from Arlie's garden. She was a member of TOPS for years and years.
Cremation has taken place and she will have an inurnment at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, where she will rest beside her husband, Arlie. This will take place in the summer of 2024. Memorial donations may be directed to the Cass County (MI) Council on Aging, 60525 Decatur Road (P.O. Box 5), Cassopolis, MI 49031-0005.
Arrangements are by the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg.
