SOUTH BEND — Lynn J. (Yates) Hayes-Reynolds, 40, of East Chippewa Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, In Hospice House of SI. Joseph County. Lynn was born on Aug. 7, 1963, in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the South Bend area.

Lynn Is survived by her three children, Brandy Lynn Hayes of South Bend, and MacKenzie Jade and Cody Elijah Reynolds at home; her parents, Gerald J. Yates of Denver, Cola, and Jeanine M. Machowiak and stepfather, Richard Machowiak of South Bend; a brother, John (Angela) Yates of Niles, Mich.; two granddaughters, Alexis Lynn and Destiny Christine Reynolds; paternal grandmother, Helen Yates of Largo, Fla.; and by two aunts, Susan Sharp of Denver and Charlotte Tamborino of Columbia, Tenn.

She was preceded In death by maternal grandparents, Leonard and Mary Emma (Toth) Wheatley.

Lynn was employed prior to her illness at the Glaval/Forest River Corporation In Elkhart, Ind., and-prior to that employment worked at the Wheel Horse Corporation in South Bend. She attended Hay and Hamilton Schools, and graduated from Riley High School, class of 1981.

Lynn will be sadly missed by her loving family and numerous friends she made in her life journey. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 28, in the Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, in the funeral home, with Nancy Cook officiating. Burial will lake place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to the Community Wide Credit Union for a trust in care of MacKenzie and Cody Reynolds. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the family.
