Jamie Shead-Gunn Obituary
Nov. 16, 1964 - June 1, 2013 SOUTH BEND - Jamie Rochelle Shead-Gunn, 48, of South Bend, Indiana departed this life at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Memorial Hospital of Bend. Jamie was born on November 16, 1964 in South Bend, Indiana to James Donly Shead and Shirley Ann Harris-Sanders. Jamie gave her life to Christ at a very young age.
She graduated from Riley High School and attended Ivy Tech College earning a degree in computer software and business management.
She later worked for Universal Forest Products for 10 years and afterwards became the general manager of MOA Hospitality, retiring from there to pursue her passion, Licensed Cosmetology. Jamie very much enjoyed playing Chess and Blackjack and loved spending time with her family.
In August 1995, she married Steven T. Gunn who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory a stepson, Steven T. Gunn Jr. "Scooter"; one sister, Carmen Freeman [Randy]; three brothers: Frank Sanders Jr., Tony (Angela) Shead, Quentin Freeman [Andrianne]; five nieces: TyShanika Miller "Sunshine", Shana Harris [Tay], LaCresha Carroll, Queenisha Shead, Antonisha Shead; four nephews: Demetrice Freeman, Joshua Freeman, Addonis Freeman and Tony Shead Jr.; along with a host of great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew, Tristyn Stokes.
Jamie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steven T. Gunn, her parents, James Donly Shead and Shirley Ann Harris-Sanders; grandmother, Annie Harris; aunt, Rosie Reynolds; uncle, Bobby Reynolds; two nieces: Rochelle Freeman and Tamia Freeman; one nephew, TyShawn Freeman; and one great-nephew, ShaVante Godwin.
Funeral services for Jamie Rochelle Shead-Gunn will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 in Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc., 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Visit www.clarkoneal.com to sign her guestbook.
