Jeremiah Roosevelt Parker - Goober

On July 3, 2020, our beloved Jeremiah Roosevelt Parker-Goober departed this life to go home to be with his heavenly father. Jeremiah entered this life on December 4, 2000 born to Ericka Parker and Andre (Kristina) Goober in South Bend, Indiana.

Jeremiah, affectionately known as Jay, Fat Albert, J5, JaJa, was a lifelong resident of South Bend, Jeremiah started his education at Perley Fine Arts Academy; continuing at Jefferson Intermediate, and graduating from Riley High School on June 12, 2019.

While at Jefferson, Jeremiah played defensive tackle as a member of the football team.  

Jeremiah was employed by Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen.

Jeremiah loved playing video games, watching movies, listening to music and taking pictures with his family and friends.  He enjoyed eating fried chicken wings, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, and drinking Kool-Aid. Although Jeremiah was often quiet, he had a smile worth a million words. That very smile and smooth demeanor is what made everyone fall in love  with him. 

Jeremiah leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ericka Parker; his father Andre (Kristina) Goober; brothers, Isaiah Anderson, DeAndre Goober, Drevonte Goober, Zehvyn Miller, and Gerrad Echoles; sisters, Jordan Whitener, Zanetta Miller, and Tishara Garrett; Aunts, Domonique Parker, Dionne Williams and Gina (Steven) Goober;  Uncles, Tilee Goober, Ricky Parker, Tyrone Watford, Jr. and Noalden Walker; Maternal Grandparents, Tonya Winters and Devon Parker; Paternal Grandmother, Carolyn Jones-Williams; Maternal Great-Grandmother, Bennie Hunt of Memphis, TN; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his Maternal Step-Grandmother, Marilyn Coleman;  Paternal Grandfather Sonnie Goober, Jr. and Uncle, Sonnie Goober III.

The homegoing services for Jeremiah will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 12:00 noon, viewing at 11:00 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home, 3525 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN  46614.
