Michael T. Gorzkiewicz

SOUTH BEND - Michael T. Gorzkiewicz, 49, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011, as the result of an accident at Steel Warehouse where he was employed.
On October 18, 2008, Michael married Vickie Durski (Call), who survives. Also surviving are his children, Evan Gorzkiewicz and Matthew (Samantha Mroz) Gorzkiewicz of North Liberty, Indiana, Kelsey Gorzkiewicz (Greg Howard) of South Bend; step-children, Chad (Heather) Call and Corey Call (Nicole Wolf) of South Bend; a sister, Patti (Jerry) Dailey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a brother, Jim (Kim) Gorzkiewicz of Bellevue, Nebraska; his parents, Tom and Nancy (Hoskins) Gorzkiewicz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his father-in-law, Norman Durski of South Bend, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Michael graduated from Riley High School in 1980.
He loved golf, Notre Dame and the Bears. To those who knew Mike, he would be found on the golf course every weekend. Notre Dame football season was spent getting caught up with friends tailgating, then off to watch the game.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today, February 17, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Friday, February 18, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home. To send condolences online, please visit Kaniewski.com.
