February 12, 1962 ~ December 18, 2012 50 Years Old

South Bend-Michelle A. Meersman, 50, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 18.

Michelle was born on February 12, 1962 in South Bend to Charles Joseph and Johanna Florence (Janczycki) Meersman. She was preceded in death by her father and a niece, Jamie Stephen.

Surviving Michelle are her mother, Johanna Meersman of South Bend; sisters, Anne Stephen of Hobart, IN and Kris (Chuck) Bergman of South Bend; brothers, Charles Meersman Jr of South Bend and Kevin (Janine) Meersman of South Bend; and her nieces and nephews, Sharon (Craig) Bradley, Tara Stephen, Kari (Scott) Wagner, Nicolas Meersman and Matthew Bergman.

Michelle attended Ball State, graduated from Indiana Weslyan. She was a member of American Legion Fish Lake, and she was an usher for South Bend Civic Theatre. She was a longtime employee of Freeman-Spicer.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 22 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. John Delaney officiating.
