Lori K. Lewis, 49, of South Bend, IN passed away at 10:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 in her home. She was born on October 3, 1961 in South Bend, IN to Richard and Mary (Whitmer) Overmyer. On August 22, 1998 in South Bend, she married George E. Lewis, who survives.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son, Daniel Caldwell of South Bend, IN; mother, Mary Overmyer of South Bend, IN; father, Richard (EllaMae) Overmyer of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Beth Krom of South Bend, IN and Kathy Carter of Port Richey, FL; several nieces and nephews, Adam Krom of South Bend, IN, Melissa Morrow of N. Port Richey, FL, Ashley Krom of South Bend, IN, Jonathan Carter of Port Richey, FL and Tracy Carter of Port Richey, FL and several great nieces and nephews.   A brother, Jerry Overmyer and niece, Stacy Carter preceded her in death.

Mrs. Lewis graduated from Riley High School in 1980. She was employed as a cook for Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center for thirty-four years. She was a great wife, mother, daughter and sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
