August 2, 1954 ~ December 25, 2020 (age 66)
Mr. Dewayne Pack, 66 of South Bend, IN passed away during the holiday season unexpectedly. He was born to the union of Johnny Pack and Cleophus Dikes Edwards on August 2, 1954 in South Bend, IN. Dewayne was one of six children born into the family.
He graduated from Riley High School, and worked many years at Goodwill Industries and Ace Hardware Store.
Shooting pool, playing basketball, and listening to music was how Mr. Pack enjoyed spending his time. Dewayne always lit up every room he entered. He would wrestle with the grandkids until they became tired. Dewayne was known to drive people crazy and that was just his way of loving people. Fashion and style are just a few words to describe our dear friend Dewayne. Mr. Pack enjoyed having fun with family, friends and was not shy about his faith. He was an avid reader and knew the Bible.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, Two beautiful children: Umekia (Leon) Johnson of South Bend, IN; and Dewayne (Jeanie) Wood of Texas. Special Daughter Tracy Smith. Four Grandchildren: Ashley Johnson, Leon Johnson Jr., Tyron Johnson, Daijiana Woods. Ten Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial Service in his honor will take place at 1PM on Friday January 15, 2021 with family gathering one-hour prior. Faith Apostolic Ministries 909 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN. Face Masks Required. Social Distancing Enforced.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two Siblings: Donnie Dikes and Kenny Dikes.
