Roger Allen Holbrook
February 4, 1953 ~ November 8, 2021
INGLIS, FL. - He was born in Amboy, Illinois to Wilbur Holbrook and Margaret Buchanan Holbrook.
He graduated in 1971 from Riley High School and worked with his Father at Mathis Machine until he joined the Army. Roger was in the 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles, and was trained as a corpsman. After leaving the Army Roger was employed by Builders Iron Works as a structural steel welder. Roger retired in 2012 to Inglis, Florida. He was employed by Queen B Ranch caring for quarter horses until his death.
His hobbies included Notre Dame, GO IRISH!! The Bears, hiking, his Harley Davidson Matilda and his animals.
Survivors include his wife Christine Holbrook, his sister Doris Martens, his brother Gregg Holbrook of South Bend and numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of the United States 845 Meadow Lane N., Golden Valley, MN 55422. A service with military honors will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill, Osceola, Indiana.
