Victoria Leslie Carter

March 9, 1991 ~ November 30, 2021 (age 30)

Victoria Leslie Carter, residing in Salem, MA, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 30, 2021 in Salem, MA.  She was 30 years old.

Victoria was born on March 9, 1991 in South Bend, IN, daughter of James & Diane (Daugherty) Carter.  She was a 2009 graduate of Riley High School, received her BA in Speech Language Pathology from Indiana University-Bloomington, and furthered her studies at Emerson College in Boston, MA.  It was there that she fell in love with both the East Coast and her fiancé Connor Dooley, and decided to make the Boston area her home. She was employed as a Community Manager for Clean Energy Ventures where she was able to bring her passion for the environment to life.

Victoria had a life-long fondness for music, playing piano, and all-things nature. She was committed to health, fitness, and helping others. Her empathetic, nurturing spirit and eccentric sense of humor were infectious to all. Anyone who met Victoria loved her.

Victoria’s love of travel took her to Greece, the Pacific North West, New Orleans, California, Colorado, and countless destinations across New England.  Her favorite memories were made by going to new places with those she loved most.

Victoria is survived by her parents, James & Diane Carter of South Bend, sisters, Katie (Tim and Beau) Bauman of Granger, IN; Audrey Carter (fiancé Jackson McGrew) of Washington, DC, brother William Carter of Columbus, OH; fiancé Connor Dooley of Salem, MA; and loving grandmother, Margaret Daugherty of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lamoine & Barbara “Carol” Carter, and maternal grandfather, James Daugherty, all from South Bend.
