Michael Fuller, Sr.

January 19, 1944 ~ January 17, 2022 (age 77)

Michael Fuller, Sr., also known as “Mickey,” 77, departed this life on Monday, January 17, 2022, in St. Joseph Regional Med Center, in South Bend, IN. Mr. Michael Fuller, Sr. was born in South Bend, IN to the union of Emerson Carnet Fuller and Beatrice (Nickerson) Taylor. He accepted Christ at an early age. Preceding him in death are his parents, Emerson Fuller and Beatrice Taylor; his wife, Rochelle (Paskell) Fuller; and one sister, Jill Fuller.

On March 12, 1982, Michael married the love of his life, Rochelle Fuller, whom he often referred to as “Baby.”

Mr. Fuller is survived by five children: Michael Fuller(Rhonda), DeVon Fuller (Monisha), Kimberly Fuller, Kasey Fuller, Kelly Foster (Selase) of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Carlatina Hampton of Nashville, TN; and one brother, Steven Fuller of South Bend; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a special nephew and niece, James and Vanessa Fuller of South Bend; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael was a lifetime resident of South Bend. Michael graduated from Riley High School. After attending High School, Michael felt the need to serve his country, by enlisting into the United States Marine Corp in 1965. After his military journey, Michael accepted employment at (NISH) Northern Indiana State Hospital for 30+ yrs until he retired as a Maintenance Engineer. He ended his working career to care for his wife.

Since being a little boy, Michael was a member of Macedonia Church under the leadership of Pastor FD Johnson. Michael remained a member at Macedonia Church until the Lord called him home. Michael enjoyed listening to his current Pastor, Ray Owens, preach. Since he was a small child, Michael felt the need to be a Servant for the Lord. Michael’s passion was being a Doorkeeper. He joined the Usher Board and was proud to be a Macedonia Usher. Michael loved his family; to Michael, family was everything. Michael loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his family. Michael loved family gatherings, church, watching sports on TV, and watching his old cowboy movies.

Michael will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
