Jack H. Cato, 90, of Mishawaka passed away at home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
Jack was born May 23, 1931, in South Bend to the late Herbert and Tempa (Kelly) Cato.
He met his beautiful wife of 69 years, Evelyn (Charsky) Cato, at the Bock's Roller Rink in Mishawaka. They married in Reno, Nevada, on June 20, 1953, and she preceded in him death on April 14, 2014. He is also preceded in death by an infant son, Vincent Cato, in 1954 and sisters Ilva Hagedorn, Margueite Franklin, Vivian Gacki, Alice Borsody, Beverly Stoops and Rose Cato.
Jack graduated from Riley High School, Class of 1949. He proudly served in the United States Navy in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. He worked at Uniroyal (Ball Band) in Mishawaka until his retirement. He worked part time at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa, Indiana.
Uncle Jack will be deeply missed.
Per his requests, no services will be held. Jack has been laid to rest next to Evelyn in Fairview Cemetery.
