Noreen Dell (Irvin) Hicks
December 25, 1955 ~ July 22, 2022 (age 66)
Noreen Dell Hicks was a loving wife and mother. She left this world on July 22nd, 2022 at age 66 with Hospice and her children by her side.
She was born to Norris and Marjorie (Corell) Irvin on December 25th, 1955. She has been a lifelong resident of Indiana. She graduated from Riley High School and Grace College. She went on to work as editor at a newspaper in Winona Lake. She spent time traveling in Germany and living in Seoul, South Korea.
She is survived by her two children Benjamin Irvin-Howard and Megan (Ian) Rogers. She is also survived by her husband of 22 years Douglas Hicks. Their home has been at Southfield Village for the last 6 years.
Family was very important to Noreen, and she instilled that importance in her children. She was a stay-at-home mom who homeschooled Ben and Megan. She raised her children to have a strong work ethic and to be well educated. Megan has been Noreen and Doug's caregiver for the last 6 years.
Noreen enjoyed spending time crafting and painting. She loved John Denver, reading and was a big fan of J.RR. Tolkien, animals of all kinds, and spending time in nature, specifically at Potato Creek State Park.
In keeping with Noreen’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
