REMEMBERING FRIENDS

Riley has been faced with many difficult situations in this past year, but none more difficult than facing the situation of death within our student body. Riley has lost two students who will always be remembered. Christa Reams, then a junior, was in a tragic car accident with many fellow classmates, her friends survived the ordeal but unfortunately she didn't. The next day there was a moment of silence in remembrance of her. Along with that, Mr. McCullough read a poem written by Christa. The school sat in total silence as he read her poem which talked of happier times. Sean Keener, just starting his junior year, was also in a fatal car accident. Sean's accident also took place with many of his good friends. Again Mr. McCullough got on the P.A. and had a moment of silence for Sean. With both deaths, the school seemed to be in a state of shock and although each was then one face in a crowd of many, their faces now are ones to be remembered for always.
