Frederick S. Goss

Frederick S. Goss, 88, Bradenton, died Aug. 13, 2002. He was born April 8, 1914,
in South Bend, Ind., and came to Bradenton five years ago from there. He retired
after many years as the head tool designer at the Torrington South Bend Plant.

He was a member of the Avalon Gratto Brotherhood in South Bend. He was a
32nd-degree Mason for more than 50 years in South Bend. He was a member of the
Robinhood Golf Association of South Bend, the Center Township Lions Club in
South Bend and the Corvette Club of South Bend. He was a member of Ridgedale
Presbyterian Church in South Bend and attended Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in
Bradenton.

Survivors include his wife of five years, Esther E.; a daughter, Darlene Cole of
Bradenton; a sister, Marguerite E. of South Bend; four grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Palmer Funeral Home
Guisinger Chapel in South Bend. The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at
Ridgedale Presbyterian Church in South Bend. A local memorial service will be
later at Freedom Village Retirement Center, Bradenton. Burial will be in St.
Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Ind. Shannon Funeral Home, Westview
Chapel, is in charge locally. Memorial donations may be made to the Center
Township Lions Club, c/o Palmer Funeral Home, Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan
