Hanna (Hanson) DeGroff Martin

Harlingen, TX - Hanna Hanson DeGroff Martin passed away peacefully in Harlingen surrounded by her friend Lillian J. Hollabaugh and her care givers Maria Ramos, Lupe Perales and Josie Gonzales (who she considered friends) on August 28, 2017 at the age of 102. Hanna was born to Gustav and Carolina Hanson.

Hanna grew up in South Bend, Indiana where she graduated from Riley High School. While residing in South Bend, she married Kenneth DeGroff. They owned DeGroff Photography Studios.

They enjoyed many years of traveling, settling in Mission Texas. After Ken's death, she married Harold Martin in May 1979.

Hanna moved to Golden Palms, after the death of Harold, where she spent her last years. Hanna was a very talented artist that painted pictures of her many travels.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Hans and Henry, two husbands Ken and Harold. She is survived by nieces, nephews, step son, step grandchildren and many friends.

Her final resting place will be Highland Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana.
